Accounting and Finance for Managers
This module is a study of core aspects of accounting and finance which are a vital part of the required knowledge and skills for prospective managers or those considering working within business and management disciplines. It enhances knowledge on the core aspects of accounting and finance namely financial reporting management accounting and financial management.
Supply Chain Operations Management
This module develops students’ understanding of efficient and effective delivery of goods and services in a global economy. Furthermore it focuses on the processes and systems found within a supply chain and explores the role of cross functional business units in planning and managing such a complex global setting.
Principles of Marketing Management
The purpose of this module is to explore the tools concepts & models that are essential to inform marketing strategy. This module will examine the macro and micro environments and evaluate the strategic fit between company strengths and market opportunities.
Strategic Human Resource Management
The purpose of this module is to enable students to understand the contribution of HRM strategies policies and practices in securing competitive advantage and service quality in contemporary organisations. This module aims to provide students with knowledge and understanding of the multitude of different HRM approaches that may be utilised in domestic and international organisations.
This module forms an introduction to the subject strategic management. Assuming no prior knowledge students will follow the Strategy Process Model to learn how organisations evaluate and plan business strategy measure their successes and compete effectively in their markets. Using a range of appropriate theory and applied knowledge from practice students will build skills in both strategic evaluation and strategic planning.
Applications are welcomed from students with a HND (Edexcel, ABE, NCC) or Foundation Degree in Business (or overseas equivalent). If you have completed the ATHE Extended Diploma you will be able to progress onto the BA Business and Management (Top-up). If you have completed the ATHE Level 5 Diploma in Management you may be eligible if you can demonstrate that you have appropriate work experience and/or prior study.
